The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.
SASSA might be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed about the superior variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access more info SASSA services.
“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support place established for intervention experiences a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to allow the servicing of all consumers and enhance use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
